Built in 1987, "La Cancalaise" or "la bisquine de Cancale"- is a replica of a traditional fishing ship from Britanny/Normandy. She was built at Cancale as an exact replica of La Perle (1905), the last of the original bisquines. Used to fish oysters

Built in 1985-'87 by Labbé-Leclerc et Fresneau, Cancale, for Assocation Bisquine Cancalaise, Cancale.
Displacement:45 tons, Loa:32.80m. L.hull:18.10m. B:4.80m. Draft:2.50m. General Motors diesel:180 hp. sail area:350m². crew:4, passengers 24.
Built as a replica of the bisquine LA PERLE (1905), a boat well-known
for her fastness during regattas between the fishermen from Granville
and Cancale for the glory and fame of their home towns.
Building project started in La Houle, Cancale in 1985, launched on April 18, 1987.
Participant in many festivals for traditional sailing craft and regattas
on the French Atlantic coast.
