The Norwegian wooden bark Friedig was built by J.R. Andersen at Grimstad, Norway, in 1897. Owned by O.T. Tonnevold of the same port, she was registered at 551 tons gross (496 net) and measured 154 feet in length with a 32 foot beam.The design stamp is made after painting of Antonio Jacobsen: The Norwegian bark «Friedig» at sea under reduced sail.

This stamp issued by Rwanda in 2013 shows us the Norwegian bark FREIDIG the design is made after a painting made by Antonio Jacobsen (1850 – 1921) which show us the bark under reduced sail. The name is wrongly spelled on the stamp as FRIEDIG also Wikipedia uses this name by the painting.

1905 Transferred to A/S Freidig (O.T. Tønneveld),Grimstad.
1912 Sold to S.Ohlssons Söner, Timmernabben, Sweden and renamed FRIGGA.

05 December 1919 she sank after striking a mine in the Kattegat at Herthas Flak, Denmark while on a voyage from North Shields, England to Malmö, Sweden with a cargo of coke. The Captain and seven crew died, only two crew members survived.
