Hydrofoil in use by the DDR water police of the type "Volga".
The Volga a sea-going launch hydrofoil, and designed as a pleasure craft, tourist launch, and service craft in use in the daytime.
Can be used as a service craft of up to two miles offshore during calm weather, and also on rivers, canals and lakes.
The hull is corrosion-resistant which is obtained by oxidizing the hull material by coating its interior and exterior with anticorrosive paints.
"Volga": ... export version of the "MOLNIA" type, which is distributed in several hundred copies in the USSR and the formerly East-bloc countries...
Displacement 1350 kg. light weight, full weight 1930 kg, dim. 8.55 x 2.1 x 0.98m (amidships), draught 0.92 afloat, on foils 0.52m.
Powered by one diesel engine type AQD32A/270D manufactured by the Volvo Penta firm in Sweden. Maximum engine power 106 hp, service speed 28 km, maximum 30 km.
Range 150 miles.
Capacity for six persons.
Most probably some are still around in 2021.
