For the 50th Anniversary of the Tsakos Group, Liberia issued one stamp which shows us the LNG tanker MARIA ENERGY.
Built as an LNG tanker under yard No 2612 by Hyundai Heavy Ind. Co. Ltd., Ulsan, South Korea for Canyon Trading Corp., Athena, Greece.
20 October 2014 laid down.
02 March 2015 launched as the MARIA ENERGY.
Tonnage 113,664 grt, 113,664 nrt, 128,297 dwt, dim. 289.98 x 46.4 x 26.4m, length bpp.284m, draught12.6m.
Powered; diesel-electric by?, hp?, speed 19.5 knots.
Cargo capacity 174044.6 cubic meters, cargo is transported by -163 C.
Crew 45.
20 June 2015 delivered to owners, homeport Monrovia, Liberia, IMO No 9659725. Managed by Tsakos Energy Navigation Ltd. Athens.
She is used for World Wide trading, her first loaded cargo was from Corpus Christi to Greece.
2021 In service, same name and owners.
