CUDILLERO port and fishing boat

Post by aukepalmhof » Tue Sep 21, 2021 3:28 am

The stamp of 1 peseta issued in 1965 by Spain shows us the port of Cudillero within the foreground fishing nets drying and behind it most probably an old fishing boat, not any detail on the vessel.

Of the village Wikipedia gives:
Cudillero (Asturian: Cuideiru) is a municipality in the Principality of Asturias, in north-west Spain. Nowadays, Cudillero's main economic activities are related to tourism, but it is also known for its fishing industry. A legend says that it was founded by the Vikings. In addition to Castillian some locals still speak a dialect called Pixueto. Usually Spanish media considers Cudillero as one of the most beautiful villages in Spain.
