CONFERENCE OF MINISTERS OF TRANSPORT (CEMT)

From June 6th to 9th, 1995, the 79th meeting of the Council of Ministers of the European Conference of Transport Ministers took place in the Congress Center of the Hofburg in Vienna. The difficulties of the economic development of Europe after the Second World War made it necessary to plan and work in a coordinated manner in the transport sector as well. Therefore, on June 17, 1953, under the aegis of the OECD, it was decided to found the European Conference of Transport Ministers. It consists of a Council of Transport Ministers and a Committee of Deputies and is a forum for the exchange of experiences and ideas on transport policy in search of optimal transport solutions in Europe.
