Fedor Filippovich Konyukhov (born December 12, 1951, the village of Chkalovo, Melitopol district, Zaporozhye region, Ukrainian SSR, USSR) - Soviet and Russian traveler, yacht captain, writer, artist, priest of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church (Moscow Patriarchate)
Konyukhov made more than 40 unique journeys and ascents, expressing his vision of the world in more than 3000 paintings and 9 books.
Alone, he made five round-the-world voyages, crossed the Atlantic 17 times, moreover, he set a record for crossing the Atlantic in one rowing boat in 46 days. He also covered 800 km in a record 15 days and 22 hours during a dog sled ride across Greenland. The first Russian who visited all the Seven Peaks, reached the North and South Poles alone on skis (the so-called Explorers Grand Slam), made a solo circumnavigation, made a round-the-world balloon flight. He was the first Russian to complete both the Three Poles and Explorers Grand Slam competitions.
Winner of the national award "Crystal Compass" and Guinness World Records. The first person in the world who reached the five poles of the Earth: the North Geographic (three times), the South Geographic, the Pole of Relative Inaccessibility in the Arctic Ocean, Everest (pole of altitude), Cape Horn (pole of yachtsmen). In 2008, he set the record for a solo sailing around Antarctica on a yacht (102 days).
