ALEKSANDR PUSHKIN Inland River cruise vessel

Built as a large inland cruise vessel Project Q040 under yard No K705 by the Osterreichische Schiffswerften AG Linz at Korneuburg, Austria for the Russian Government.
Launched under the name ALEXSANDR PUSHKIN, named after the well-known Russian literator Alexsandr Pushkin.
Displacement with onboard cargo, passengers, and full storage 2.099 tons. Dim. 110.1 x 14.5 x 2.2m. (draught).
Powered by two 4-cyl turbo diesel 662 kW (900hp), speed on deep water 22 km., so most probably two shafts.
Passenger accommodation for 216 passengers when cruising, when used for day trips 900 passengers.
1974 Completed with homeport Novgorod, Russia.

The ALEXSANDR PUSHKIN was delivered to the shipping company Volga, and used as a cruise liner on the Volga River.
She underwent regular modifications and is now mostly used on cruises between Moscow and St. Petersburg (Volga-Balt) waterways, Ladoga and Onega lakes, and sometimes on the Volga, Kama, and Don cruises.
