Built as a coastal minesweeper under yard No 5433 as type 320 by Burmeister at Bremen-Burg Werft for the West German Navy.
06 May 1957 launched as the KOBLENZ M1071 one of the Lindau class. 18 units were built.
Tonnage 362 ton, 380 dwt, Displacement 470 ton, dim. 45.0 x 8.3 x 3m, (draught). Length bpp 42.0m.
Powered by two MWM Maybach (Deutz) diesels, speed 18.5 knots.
Range 730 mile.
Armament: 1 Bofors 40mm

Constructed out of non-metal.
06 May 1957 commissioned.

1960-64 lengthened 47.1m.

21 June 1978 became a minehunter, upgraded to type 331.
1999 Donated to the Lithuania Navy.
22 June 1999 commissioned under the name LKL SÜDUVIS (M-52)
2021 Handed over to the Lithuanian Maritime Museum, Klaipeda.

About Maritime History
SÜDUVIS belongs to the "Lindau" minesweeper class ships, whose purpose is the search, identification, and destruction of mines. The ship is unique in that it has been operated according to its purpose throughout its history and has retained authentic working equipment. Having served 22 years in the Lithuanian Navy, "SÜDUVIS participated in various international and national exercises and operations, as well as in NATO projects. This ship was handed over to the Naval Forces of the Lithuanian Army in 1999. donated by Germany. In the naval forces of the latter country, the ship M1071 under the name "KOBLENZ" served even since 1958. In 2021 SÜDUVIS ended its 63-year service and was handed over to the Lithuanian Maritime Museum. Currently, the ship that has turned into a museum is moored at a permanent parking place in Klaipėda, on the Danė River near the Castle Bridge.
