Yugoslavia issued a booklet with ship models in bottles, in the booklet is given:
SHIP IN A BOTTLE.
Ship modelling is a very old craft, but also a branch of art. A long-term research on original ships illustrations is necessary so that the model of some old sailing ships is reconstructed, The ancient Egyptians had constructed some ship models of terra-cotte more than three thousand years ago and lay them down in mausoleums together with the late men.
Those are still the oldest model ships discovered and known till today. Later a few sailors during their long voyages, have slowly and patiently made the model of the ship on which they were sailing, and that were mostly of ships in a bottle. Without a special tool they were working on these models for more months and even for years, which can be seen in our days in various world museums.
The ship in a bottle, which by its appearance, attracts the attention as a strange thing present the simole and practical solution for the protection of that small and fragile model. That is a small world for itself, which as it looks through the glass, presents a deformation that it makes it look unreal.
The following ships are depicted:

REVENGE (1585)
The sailing ship with four masts and decks sailed under the English flag. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=11838 (I cannot find a REVENGE built in 1585, the only ship with the name REVENGE that under this name sailed was launched in October 1577 built as a galleon and lost near the Azores on 05 September 1591.)

GROSSE JACHT (1678)
A small fast sailboat with 1 or 2 masts and a few yards, with a luxurious living room, used in the fleet as fast sailing despatch vessels. Built for the need of rulers, commanders, and rich people. viewtopic.php?p=21919#p21919

SANTA MARIA: (XV century)
One of the three caravels in which Columbus sailed when America was discovered in 1492. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=12481

NAVA (XV century) Aak to Zumbra a Dictionary of the World’s Watercraft, gives for ‘Nava’, a Croatian (part of the former Yugoslavia) term for a ship during the 14th to 18th century.
Yugoslavia post gives: It was with a wide beam, high sides, raised bow, and stern. On both sides in the midships of the ship, were openings with overlapped doors for loading and unloading of horses. The type disappears in the XVIII century when large sailing ships for use in overseas sailing appeared.

MAYFLOWER (1615)
This was the first passenger ship’s sailing ship that sailed across the Atlantic. She sailed to sea on 06 September 1620 with 30 members of the crew and a hundred and four passengers. After 67 days it got ashore on the American coast. Today MAYFLOWER is a monument dedicated to the brave seamen, and it is in the Nautical Museum in Plymouth.

KARAKA (XIV century)
In the XIV century, large sailing ships, so-called “carracks” with three decks and masts were being built in Venice. One carrack could hold 15,000 to 20,000 large barrels or 600 to 1300 people. Carracks were not warships but they were used for the transport of warriors. In one carrack independence of her size could get moved in 100-300 soldiers with their equipment. Carracks sailed on seas till the XVII century.
