Built as a ferry under yard no306 by Bodewes Volharding yard in Foxhol, Groningen, Netherlands after she was assembled by parts supplied by Nierstern Sander in Delfzijl, for account of the Province of New Brunswick, Canada.
15 June 1989 laid down.
12 April 1990 launched as the GRAND MANAN V.
Tonnage 3,833 grt, 580 dwt, dim. 75.0 x 66.0 (bpp) x 15.4 x 9.60m.
Powered by two diesel engines 2,370 hp, twin screws, speed 14.5 knots.
Capacity for 300 passengers and 65 cars.
11 July 1990 completed.
Homeport Grand Manan, Canada IMO No 8902591.
After arrival in Canada she was put in the service between Blacks Harbour and Grand Manan.
After arrival of a new ferry in 2011 put in reserve.
2023 In reserve or service.
