SVYATOY NIKOLAY frigate 1790

Built as a frigate at Nikolayev yard, Ukraine for the Imperial Russian Navy.
05 January 1790 keel laid down.
Launched under the name SVYATOY NIKOLAY.
Dim. 45.7 x 13.0 x 6.0m., draught 4.6m.
Armament between 44 and v50 guns.
Crew 437.
1790 She was completed.

She was the first ship built at the town Nikolayev.

11 August 1791 took part in the last sea battle of the Russo-Turkish War of 1787-1792 off Cape Kaliakra on the Bulgarian coast in the Black Sea.
Neither side lost a ship but the Turkish navy forces retreated to Istanbul.
During 1801 took part in operations of the Russian and Turkish sea-forces against the French forces on the Vido Islands near Corfu, Greece.
26 July 1802 sold at Naples, Italy, fate unknown.
