KAAN 33 Class

In commemoration of the 25th Turkish Coast Guard command Turkey issued one stamp on 13 July 2007 which depict one of the latest patrol boats of the Turkish coast guard.

She is one of the Kaan 33 class of which four has been built by Yonca-Onuk shipyard in Istanbul for the Turkish Coast Guard. There is an option for 4 more boats.
The class carried the No. SG 301 till 304, without a name, which is depict is not known, the stamp showed no number.

The technical details of the class are:
Displacement 87 ton standard, 113 ton full load. Dim. 35.69 x 6.7 x 1.45m. (draught)
Powered by two MTU diesel engines, 3.700 hp, speed 45+ knots.
Range by 33 knots 800 mile.
Armament 1 – 20mm and 2 – 12mm MG.
Crew 20 men.

The first of the class was delivered in July 2005 and the last was delivered in May 2006.
