Built as semicontainer vessel under yard No. 446 by the VEB Warnowerft, Warnemünde, Germany for the VEB Deutfracht/Seereederei, Rostock.
Launched under the name BERLIN-HAUPTSTADT DER DDR.
Tonnage 10.140 gross, 5.751 net, 13.600 dwt, dim. 156.85 x 21.86 x 11.97m., draught 9.0m.
Powered by an 8-cyl DMR/MAN diesel engine 11.204bhp., one screw, speed 18 knots.
Five holds, 8 hatches. One 5-ton crane, one 80t, three 22t and eight 10t derricks.
Cargo capacity 17.497 grain, 16.364 bale. Container capacity 283 TEU’s, 177 hold and 106 on deck.
31 July 1980 in service.

Used by Deutfracht in the liner service.
1990 Renamed by owners in BERLIN.
16 Feb. 1993 sold to Unisol Shipping N.V. (Naviera Universal) Willemstad, Netherlands Antilles, and renamed UNISOL.
1999 Renamed by the company in MIRA.
2002 Renamed in SMYRNA.
2009 Still sailing under Netherlands Antilles flag, call sign PJPC, same owner, managed by Mira Transport & Shipping NV, Willemstad.
IMO No 8030996.

Not reported since 2007. Deleted Lloyds Registry 05 October 2011. Existence in doubt.
