PRINCE CONSORT

Built as a passenger/cargo vessel under yard no 37 by J & G Thomson, Govan for Aberdeen Leith & Clyde Steam Navigation Co.
02 January 1858 launched under the name PRINCE CONSORT.
Tonnage 623 gross, 392 net, dim. ?
Powered by a steam engine manufactured by builder, 300 hp.


After completing used in the service from Leith and Aberdeen to Wick, and Scrabster, from there to the Orkney were she made calls at Stromness and Kirkwall before she sailed to Lerwick, Shetland Islands.
In wintertime was it difficult for a paddle steamer to cross the stretch of water between the mainland and the Shetland due to rough seas, and then the company send a sailing vessel.
1863 She stranded but was refloated.
1864 Sold to Webster & Company, Aberdeen.
11 May 1867 wrecked at Altons near Aberdeen.
