Belgium issued a set a 4 stamps and one label in 1988 all of 10Fr. on the label is the inscription “Houdt de zee schoon” (Keep the sea clean)
The set depicts two fishing vessels the SNIPE and the ASSANAT, a cross channel ferry and a cargo vessel, both have till so far not been identified.

The ASSANAT was built in 1964 under the name ELDORADO Fish No. Z 582 as a wooden shrimp cutter.

She was used for fishing on shrimps from Zeebrugge along the Belgium coasts, and I believe mostly used for day-fisheries, sailed in the morning and returned in the afternoon.
She was later renamed in BEAUFORT V and ASSANAT still under fishing No Z 582.

28 April 1998 she was deleted from the Belgium fishing fleet.
2001 She returned again in service owned by Willy Versluys, Oostende under the name CRANGON.
Used as a pleasure shrimp fish-cutter for daytrips bookings, can accommodate 12 persons include the crew.
