Built as a container vessel under yard No. 2948 by Shin Kurushima Dockyard Co., Ltd Onishi Shipyard/Ochi-gun, Japan. for Cape Norviega Navigation Co. Ltd., Marshal Islands.
13 November 1997 keel laid down.
04 February 1998 launched under the name CAPE NORVIEGA.
Tonnage 17.609 gross, 8.215 net, 24.116 dwt., dim. 182.80 x 28.00 x 14.00m., draught 9.53m.Length bpp. 170.33m
Powered by a two stroke single acting B&W 6 S 60MC diesel engine, manufactured by Mitsui Engineering & Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. Tamano Works, 11.680 kW., one shaft, speed 19 knots.
Bunker capacity 3.160 m³, ballast water 6.620m³.
Container capacity 1.520 TEU’s
26 May 1998 completed.
Port of registry Majuro.
CAPE NORVIEGA built for the container service, financed mostly by German interests; she is operating on the international container shipping market.
From 01 January 2006 is she chartered by the Wan Hai Lines of Taiwan, and used by this company in the service from Taiwan to the Middle East.
