The cruiser Oktyabrskaya Revolutsiya is shown on the 10k. value. She was originally named Molotovsk, being given her present name in 1957 and is one of 24 ships of the Sverdlov class, only 14 being completed by December 1960. The Sverdlov class have a displacement standard of 15,450 tons, loaded 19,200 tons. Length (o.a.) is 689 ft., beam, 70 ft. and draft 24 ft. 6ins. Complement numbers 1,050. Engines comprise geared turbines developing 130,000 s.h.p., giving a speed of 34 knots, taking steam from four boilers. Range is 5,000 miles at 20 knots. Armament: twelve 5.9-inch guns, triple mounted; 12 3.9.inch, dual purpose, twin mounted; 32 37 m.m. A.A., twin mounted, and 140 to 250 mines.
