From Salvador comes a 50c. stamp depicting the coastal patrol boat G. C.2. This launch and the G.C.1 were former H.D.M.Ls. (Harbour Defence Motor Launches). The Salvador Government purchased them in 1959, and at that time they were named Fie¬Ja-Lis (G.C.1) and Nohaba (G.C.2). They have a length of 72 ft., a complement of 16, and twin Gardner diesels, developing 130 b.h.p., and giving a speed of 11 knots. They are armed with one 20 mm. gun.
