OROPESA

Built as a cargo vessel under yard No. 1190 by Lithgows at Port Glasgow for Blackhall Shipping Co. Ltd. U.K.
22 February 1978 launched under the name OROPESA, one sister the OROYO.
Tonnage 14.275 gross 7.920 net, 17.944dwt. Dim. 163.2 x 22.97 x 13.42m., draught 9.72m. Length bpp. 155m.
Powered by one 6-cyl Scotts-Sulzer diesel engine, 12.165 bhp., one propeller, speed 16.5 knots.
April 1978 delivered to owners.

After delivery managed by the Pacific Steam Navigation Co. Ltd. Liverpool.
1982 Management transferred to the Shaw, Saville & Albion, Liverpool.
25 May 1984 sold together with her sister to Cenargo Ltd., Bermuda. The OROPESA was renamed MERCHANT PRINCIPAL.
Both vessels were then used in the service from the U.K. to the Falkland Islands.
1999 Sold to Broad Wise Dev. Ltd. Hong Kong (John McRinck & Co. Ltd.) Hong Kong and renamed LADY DANIELLE.
2001 Sold to Indian ship breakers, and arrived Alang 27 February 2001 for breaking up.
