Built under yard 59 as a research vessel by Chant. Achille Lucchese, Venice, Italy for the Iraqi Government.
Launched under the name AL FAO.
Tonnage 300 grt, 59 net, 80 dwt., dim 41.94 x 7.4 x 2.04m.
Powered by two Klochner-Humboldt-Deutz diesel engines 560bhp., twin shafts.
