She was built as a trawler under yard No 194 by Scott and Sons at Bowling, U.K. for the Alliance Fishing Comp., Iceland.
20 November 1906 launched under the name JÓN FORSETI. http://www.wnsstamps.ch/stamps/IS002.07 ... -full.jpeg
Tonnage 233 gross, dim. ?
Powered by a steam engine ?hp. , speed ?
January 1907 delivered to owners.

The Icelandic Post gives then:

January 1907 marked a turning point in the history of Icelandic fisheries when the JÓN FORSETI a new 230 BRT trawler, arrived at Reykjavik harbour.
The trawler was owned by the Alliance fishing company and it was the first distance water trawler to be built for Icelanders.
Fisheries were excellent and the trawler seems to have been fully paid for in a few years. Later that year another trawler the MARZ, owned by the Icelandic Company Ltd. came to the country, marking the robust beginnings of the Icelandic trawler ear.
Twenty years after its arrival in Icelandic, JÓN FORSETI went ashore on 27 February 1928 at Stafnes, Icelandic. This accident contributed greatly towards the founding of Iceland’s Life-Saving Association .

(There are many web-sites on this grounding but all in Icelandic a language I can not read, it looks there was loss of live, so all info on this grounding will be welcome)
