Built under yard no 753 as bulk/container vessel by Mitsubishi at Shimomoseki, Japan for the Sankyo Kaiun K.K., Japan.
25 October 1975 launched under the name KYOKO MARU.
Tonnage 12.254 gross, 7.035 net, 18.788 dwt., dim. 160.1 x 18.3m.
One 6 cyl. Mitsubishi-Sulzer diesel, 10.000 shp., speed 15 knots.
May1976 completed.

1977 Sold to Mitsubishi Shintaku Ginko K.K., Japan, not renamed.
1978 Sold to Sun Pacific Shipping Corp., Liberia, renamed MORNING STAR.
1984 Sold to Starlet Shipping Corp., Liberia, not renamed.
1990 Sold to Joscar Shipping Co. Inc., Philippines, not renamed.
? Sold to Taylor Trading Ltd., Piraeus and renamed STAR 9

She is not more in http://www.equasis.org in 2006, but can not find in Marine News of she is renamed or scrapped. Can also not find her IMO No.

2004 Sold to Taylor Trading Ltd, Piraeus and renamed STAR 9, Panama registry.
December 2006 sold to Bangladesh breakers for USA$338/ton for demolition, since broken up.

The stamp says "First container ship". As it, obviously, isn't the "first" container ship I wonder what "first" is actually being claimed. First to dock at Tuvalu? Would be interested to find out more.
