Built from teak as a French corvette for the French Navy in 1886.
Launched under the name EURE.
Displacement and dim. ?
She was used in a French Antarctic expedition in 1892/93 as a storeship.
12 Dec. 1892 sailed from Diego Suarez, made calls at Kergeulen and the St Paul Islands on 22 Dec. 1893, built a food store at St Paul.
She sailed then to Amsterdam Island where she arrived on 24 Jan. 1894, before going back to La Réunion and Madagascar.
1911 Hulked at Noumea and sent to Sydney by the French Government.
1912 Sold to the Northern Steam Ship Company at Auckland, New Zealand. Tonnage given as 1.589 gross.
26 January 1913 arrived at Auckland under tow of the steamer IHUMATA.
Used as a coal hulk in the harbour of Auckland, till she started to leak in 1939.
She was towed in shallow water at Sulphur beach, Northcote, Auckland and sold to F. Appleton for breaking up.
1942 Dismantling completed.
