Built 1988 as a single hulled aluminium catamaran under yard No 855 by Soc. Francaise de Cons. Nav.,Villeneuve-la Garrenne, France.
Tonnage 251grt, 141 net, dwt. 50, displacement 67 tonnes light, 88 tonnes heavy. Dim. 35.01 x 6.46 x 1.25m. (draught).
Powered by two MWM Oil 4SA each 12-cyl., 3.400 bhp., speed 27 knots. Two forward water jet propulsion units.
Passengers 200, crew 6.

08 April 1988, delivered to Societe Anonyme d’Economie Mixte de Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, managed by Armement Borota Féres, St Piere et Miquelon.
She is one of the MARLIN-35 types.
1 May 1988 named SAINT EUGÉNE V.

Used in the 55 minutes service between St Pierre et Miquelon and Fortune, Newfoundland, from May 1988 till November 1995.
She was not a lucky ship, did have regular engine problems, and the shareholders lost there investment in the craft.
There is a claim with insurances companies for recognised abnormalities on the engines.

2007 as given by http://www.equasis.org IMO NO 8706325 same name, but not an owner of manager given.
2016 As given by http://www.equasis,org as laid-up on 15 December 2015.
