The Rostock, owned by the East German Deutsche Seereederei, of Rostock, is a shelter-deck ship built by Warnow Werft. Warnemunde, in 1967, her tonnages being (closed sd) 8,661 gross, 4,999 net, 10,130 summer deadweight; (open shelter deck) 5,639 gross tons, 3,076 net, 8,130 summer deadweight. Her dimensions are 492 ft. 7 in. x 66 ft. 3 in. x 23 ft. 10 in. She has one deck and a shelter deck, and there are five holds. A motorship of 5,850 b.h.p., she has a speed of 17 knots and is on the Rostock-Calcutta service.SG E1415

Built in 1967 by VEB Warnow Werft, Warnemünde, #201, for Deutfracht Seereederei, Rostock.
General Cargo, type XD, open/closed shelterdeck, Gt:5364/8501, Nt:2962/5048, Dw:8210/10.080, Loa:150,09m. Lbpp:138m. B:20,25m. Depth:11,69m. Draught:7,26/8,20m. 8 cyl. MAN/DMR diesel:11.200 hp. (8238 kW.) 17½ kn. 5 holds, 1 crane SWL:5 tons, 1 derrick SWL:60 tons, 2-14 tons, 4-8 tons and 6-5 tons, pass:6, IMO.6710633.
In 1994 sold to Aspatria Shipping, Kingston, St. Vincent, renamed in BERYTUS, converted into a semi containership in Constanza, Romania, Gt:8606, Nt:4033, Dw:10.150.
in 1995 sold to Canada Metz Lines S.A.L., Kingston, St. Vincent, renamed in METZ BEIRUT, 2000 renamed in AQABA EXPRESS, scrapped in Alang, India.

03 August 2000 arrived at Alang for scrapping.
