The Junge Welt is a 10,193 gross ton fish factory ship built in 1967 by Matthias-Thesen-Werft at Wismar for the U.S.S.R. Fischcombinat, Rostock. The vessel has three decks and is propelled by oil engines connected to an electric motor. SG E1416

Fish factory ship, Gt:9641, Nt:4779, Dw:7712, Loa:141,40m. Lbpp:130m. Beam:21,24m. Depth:14,10m. Draft:7,80m. 4-8 cyl SKL engines:7000 bhp. (5149 kW.) 14 kn. 3 Holds, 2 Cranes SWL:10 tons, 1-1,25 tons, 1 Derrick SWL:1,5 tons, 1-1 ton.

Scrapped in 1992. Sistership JUNGE GARDE.
