Inter-island vessel owned by the government of Fiji.
Built 1958.
Reported as being out of service since 1995 after it ran aground near Naroi village in Moala, Lau.
In 1998 the cost of repairs was estimated at $273,100 and the Head of Maritime Studies of the Fijian Ins of Technology requested the ship be donated to the institute for training purposes but this was turned down.

Built as a cargo-passenger vessel as yard No 168 by the Hong Kong Transportation Co. Ltd., Hong Kong for the Fiji Government.
24 October 1957 launched as CORAL QUEEN.
Tonnage 168 grt, 48 net, dim. 32.26 x 6.43 x 2.9m., draught 2.3m.
Powered by two 8-cyl. Gardner diesel engine, hp?, twin screws, speed 9 knots.
Accommodation for 40 passengers and a crew of 17men.
August 1958 delivered to the Fiji Government under the name DEGEI II, with homeport Suva.

Used in the interisland trade between the islands of the Fiji Group.

New Zealand notice to mariners of 13 August 2008 has the following warning.

Dangerous wreck for surface navigation of the sunken vessel DEGEI II in Suva Harbour in position 18 07 45S 178 25 42E.
