MING COMFORT container vessel

Built as a container vessel under yard No 163 by China Shipbuilding Corp., Kaohsiung for the Yangming Marine Transport Corp., Kaohsiung.
15 February 1982 launched under the name MING COMFORT.
Tonnage 30.779 grt, 17.155 net, 30.637 dwt, dim. 210.01 x 32.26 x 18.69m., length bpp 196.02, draught 10.50m.
Powered by one 8-cyl. Sulzer diesel, 27.200 bhp., manufactured by Taiwan Machinery Manufacturing Corp., one propeller, speed 21.5 knots.
Capacity 2.054 TEU’s.
22 July 1982 delivered to owners.

24 February 1996 sold to Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha Ltd., Taiwan, renamed in MALACCA BRIDGE.
17 February 1999 renamed by Yangming Marine Transport in MING COMFORT.
28 May 2003 renamed in SENTOSA BRIDGE.
28 April 2004 renamed in YM COMFORT.

2008 As given by http://www.equasis.org Imo No. 8012657, owned and managed by Yangming Marine Transport, Keeling, China Republic.
Tonnage now given as 29.873 grt, 10.586 net, 30.639 dwt.
2009 Sold to Chinese breakers and arrived Xinhui 15 January 2009.

Taiwan 1984 $2 sg1553, scott?
