DWEJRA cargo vessel 1969

Built as a cargo vessel under yard No 520 by N.V. Scheepswerf & Machinefabriek “De Biesbosch”, Dordrecht, Netherlands for Gerhard Schepers, Aschendorf, West Germany.
Launched under the name IRIS.
Tonnage 1.000 grt, 674 net, 2.475dwt., dim. 84.28 x 14.38 x 8.31m., length bpp. 75.01, draught 5.10m.
One 8-cyl MWM diesel engine, 2.400 bhp, one shaft, speed 14.5 knots.
July 1969 delivered.

1972 Under Singapore flag and registry, same owner.
1973 Renamed by owners in ASD IRIS.
1976 Sold to Sea Malta Co. Ltd., Malta, renamed in DWEJRA II. The company was a government controlled company founded in 1973. She was named after a small sea-inlet and a village situated on the coast of western Gozo.
She was employed by Sea Malta on various trade routes from and to Malta.
1987 Sold to Vassilis Compapania Naviera, San Lorenzo, Honduras, renamed VASSILIS VII.
1998 Sold by Papoutsoglu V Shipping Co., Bolivia to Unimed Theodora, Bolivia, renamed THEODORA.
2001 Sold to Unimed Marine, Panama, renamed in NASNAS, Bolivian flag.
The same year sold to Dream Sea and renamed STAR I, registered under the flag of St Vincent and Grenadines.
2002 Sold to Marine Rider, renamed LUCKY III under Honduras flag.
2003 Sold to Elghadban M, renamed CHAHIRA.
2006 Renamed LEONIDAS.
2007 Sold to Odessacity Co., renamed in SEA PRINCESS, later that year RUSALKA. Under Sierra Leone flag.

(One of these ships with many owners and flags.)

The other ship on this stamp, till so far not identified looks also comparing the funnel marking one of the Sea Malta Co vessel.

2008 As given by http://www.equasis.org IMO No. 6921373. Same owner, managed by Nasser Maritime Co. Odessa, Ukraine. Tonnage 2.426 grt.

Malta 1981 £1 sg681, scott?
