TENAGA SATU

Built as Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) carrier under yard No 301 by Societe Metallurgique Dunkerque, Dunkirk, France for the Malaysian International Shipping Corp., Penang.
02 October 1978 launched under the name TENAGA SATU, four sisterships.
Tonnage 68.085 grt., 49.632 net, 72.083 dwt., dim. 280.63 x 41.64 x 27.61m., length bpp 265.99m
Powered by turbine steam engines manufactured by Chantiers de L’Atlantique, 45.000 shp., one propeller, speed 20 knots.
Capacity to carry 130.000 cubic meter of gas.
September 1982 completed.
She loaded her first shipment of LNG in Bintuli bound for Japan, and was she chartered by Shell tankers.
1990 Her charter ended with Shell Tankers.
Then on a long time charter with Gaz de France (GdZ).
