BULGARIA cargo vessel 1894

Built as a cargo- passenger vessel under yard no 303 by Wigham Richardson & Co. of Newcastle for the Soc. Commerciale Bulgare de Nav. A Vap. at Varna, Bulgaria.
1894 Launched under the name BULGARIA.
Tonnage 1.108 gross, 1.350 dwt., dim. 240.5 x 33.5 ft.
One triple expansion steam engine, 1.176 hp. speed 12.5 knots.
Passenger accommodation for 48 passengers.
August 1894 delivered to owners.

1942 Requisitioned by the German Navy, used as an auxiliary minelayer.
08 October 1943 torpedoed and sunk by HMS UNRULY in the Aegean, south east of the western tip of the Armorgos Islands.
