Built as a passenger ro-ro ferry under yard no 910 by Hall Russell & Co, Aberdeen, Scotland, for David MacBrayne, Glasgow, Scotland.
20 Nov. 1963 launched under the name HEBRIDES.
Tonnage 1.420 gross, 709 net, 233 dwt., dim. 71.63 x 14.10 x 2.74/3.47m.
Powered by 8 cyl. Crossley Bros engines, 2.446 bhp., speed 13.25 knots.
Passenger accommodation for 450, of which 87 did have berths.
Could carry 50 cars.

April 1964 delivered to owners.
08 April 1964 used in the ferry service between Uig (Skye)-Lochmaddy (North Uist)-Tarbert(Harris), Hebrides Islands, Scotland.
01 Jan. 1974 registered for Caledonian MacBrayne Ltd., Glasgow, Scotland.
14 Nov. 1985 her last day in this service.
1985 Sold to John Graham & Maureen Marie Thompson, renamed DEVONIUM, registered owner Aubreyville Ltd. U.K, managed by Torbay Seaways & Stevedores Ltd., Torquay,
24 May 1986 in the service from Torquay to the English Channel Islands.
Nov 1990 until 20 Feb. 1991 laid up at Ipswich.
24 May 1993 sold to Falcon Marine Inc., Monrovia, Liberia, and registered at Kingstown, St Vincent, renamed ILLYRIA. Used in the service from Brindisi to Valona, Albania.
June 1994 used by the Illyria lines in the service from Bari to Durres, Albania, or from Brindisi to Durres.
11 Oct. 1999 while at Eleusis Bay (most probably laid up) fire broke out, she was set aground, got water damage.
She was broken up early 2000. (info received from Mr. John D.Stevenson)

The Alderney stamp shows the vessel in Braye Harbour with in the foreground fishing vessels. The head of the Queen obscures part of the vessel.
