SÆVAR ferry

Built as a ferry by Crist Sp.,z.o.o., Gdansk, Poland for Government of the Republic of Iceland (Icelandic Directorate of Roads), Reykjavik, Icelandic.
When the hull was completed she was delivered to the Stalsmidjan h/f, Reykjavik, Iceland for outfitting.
Launched as the SÆVAR.
Tonnage 110 grt, 139 dwt, dim. 22.7 x 6.7 x 7.07m., length bpp 20.0m.
Two Cummins Oil 4SA diesel engines, 2.247 bhp., speed 11 knots.
April 2001 completed.

After delivery used in the service between Hrisey Harbor and Årakógssandur.
The crossing takes about 15 minutes.
2009 As given by http://www.equasis.org same owner, managed by Eyfar EHF, Hrisey. IMO No 9207950

The 200Kr stamp depict the island Hrisey from where the SÆVAR sails to the mainland.
