BELORUSSIYA cruise vessel

Log Book volume 17 page 43 has identified this stamp as most probably one of the BELORUSSIYA class., and I agree. Ship Stamp Encyclopedia gives the name BELORUSSIYA to this stamp. The only thing I am sure, one of this class is depict, and I will give the details and history of the BELORUSSIYA, she was the first vessel of this class built, all were built by Wärtsilä.


Built under yard no 1212 as a ferry by O/Y Wärtsilä A/B Åbo, Finland for the Black Sea Shipping Co. Odessa.
01 October 1973 keel laid down.
06 March 1974 launched under the name BELORUSSIYA, also seen as BYELORUSSIYA
Tonnage 16.631 gross, 7.812 net, 2.534 dwt. Dim. 157 x 21.9 x 5.5m. (draught)
Powered by two Vee oil engines, each 18 cyl. Pielstick, manufactured by Wärtsilä, 18.000 bhp, speed 21 knots, twin screws.
Had bow and stern doors/ramps could load trailers or 256 cars or containers.
Passenger accommodation for 504 berthed plus 505 unberthed.
15 January 1975 delivered to Black Sea Shipping Co., Odessa.
She has four sisterships the AZERBAIHZAN, GRUZIYA, KARELIYA and KAZAKHSTAN.

She was the first of the BELORUSSIYA class.
The intention was to use her as a ferry, but after delivery only used for cruising.
1986 Refitted in a cruise vessel with accommodation for 650 berthed passengers, by the Lloyd Werft of Bremerhaven.
1991 Under Ukraine flag and register.
25 Oct. 1992, she was flooded when No 1 floating dock at Singapore Dockyard & Engineering Pte. Ltd.’s yard at Jurong heeled over, whilst she was docked for repairs and she tilted onto her side.
Nov 1992 she was righted, and her reconditioning was finished in April 1993.
31 April 1993 she sailed from Singapore under tow for Europe for repair and reconditioning by Lloyd Werft, Bremerhaven where she arrived on 17 May. 1993.
09 Dec. 1993 renamed in KAZAKHSTAN II.
22 Dec. 1993 chartered by Delphin Seereisen of Offenbach, Germany, and used from Genova to Africa cruises.
June 1995 Registration changed to Cyprus for the Lady Lou Shipping Co., Limassol.
May 1996 Renamed in DELPHIN and transferred to Maltese registry. Homeport Valetta.

2009 http://www.equasis.org gives for her as registered owner Dolphin Maritime, and managed by M.T.C. Marine Trade Consulting, Germany. Under the same name, IMO No. 7347536. Bahamas flag and registry.
1996 05. Registered to Sea Delphin Shipping, Valletta, Malta. Renamed DELPHIN .
2010 09 23. Where the vessel was arrested in Villefranche.
2010. Laid up in Venice.
2012 01. Sold to Vishal Cruises PVT Ltd, Hamburg, Germany. Sailed under the Bahama flag, home port Nassau.
2014 10 02. The shipping company had financial problems and planned cruises were canceled.
2014 - 2015. Chartered to the US Navy as an accommodation ship when one of their ships underwent an upgrade at Viktor Lenac, Shipyard, Rijeka, Croatia.
2015 12 11. Laid up in Rijeka, Croatia.
2016 05 13 - 2016 09. Chartered to Estur.
2016 012 11. Laid up in Rijeka, Croatia.
2022 03 04. Sold to Turkish scrappers.
