Built as a cargo vessel under yard No 52 by Swan Hunter Shipbuilders Ltd. at Hebburn for the Bank Line, managed by Andrew Weir.
31 May 1973, launched under the name FORTHBANK.
She was a CSD/OSD vessel.
Tonnage 7.869/11.405 gross, 4.366/6.798 net, 11.730/15.469 dwt., dim.161.68 x 22.59 x 13.11, draught 9.62m.
Powered by one 6 cyl. S.C.S.A. oil engine, 15.000 bhp. manufactured by Doxford and Sunderland Ltd. at Sunderland Speed 18 knots.
Passenger accommodation for nine passengers.
Could carry 240 TEU’s, and had reefer holds.
Nov 1973 delivered to owners.

Used by the Bank Line in the round the world service.
July 1996 mostly used in the Indian sub-continent and East and South Africa trade, a round voyage took about 56 days.
2001 Sold by Andrew Weir Shipping Ltd., Isle of Man to Pacific Jewel Shipping Ltd. (ASP Ship Management Singapore Pte Ltd.), Vanuatu and renamed PACIFIC EMERALD.
2002 Sold to Bangladesh breakers and beached Chittagong on 16 Dec. 2002.
