Built under yard No.495 as a cruise passenger ship by the Kvaerner Masa Yards Oy at Helsinki, Finland for Hapag-Lloyd Kreuzfarhten Co.
26 June 1998 keel laid down.
04 March 1999 launched under the name EUROPA.
Tonnage 28.710 gross, 9.151 net, 3.252 dwt., dim. 198.52 x 24.00 x 6.1m (draught).
Powered by two medium MAN 7100 MP oil-engines, manufactured by ABB Oy Turboahtimet Propulsion Units, 13.300 Kw., driven to electric motors each 6.650 kW., to two rudder propellers, speed 21 knots.
Bunker capacity 1.096m³. Ballast 1.258m³.
Passenger accommodation 408, crew 270.
01 September 1999 completed and christened at Hamburg.
IMO No. 9183855, call sign C6Qk8. The building cost 75US$.

She is registered under the Bahamian flag and owned by Hapag-Lloyd Bahamas and managed by Hapag-Lloyd Seetouristik in Hamburg, Germany.
She is one of the spacious cruise ships on the market (69.6 GT/Pass.)
She is intended for the luxury cruise segment of the German-speaking market and makes worldwide cruises.

2014 Same name, same owners.

10 July 2020 sold to Tui Cruises GMBH, Hamburg, Germany, not renamed.
Managed by Tui Cruises GMBH, Hamburg, under Malta flag and register
