ROMSO ferry

Built as a ro-ro ferry under yard No 402 by Helsingor Skibsværft & Maskinbyggery A/S, Elsinore, Denmark for the DSB, Korsör, Denmark.
31 October 1972 launched as the ROMSO.
Tonnage 5.603 grt., 2.436 net, 1.727 dwt, dim. 128.89 x 17.70 x 7.22m., draught 5.00m.
Powered by two B&W DM 10U45 HU diesel engines, 12.000 hp., speed 18 knots.
Passenger accommodation 1200/1500 passengers and 338 cars.
10 February 1973 trials.
01 March 1973 delivered to the DSB.

March 1973 used in the ferry service between Halskov and Knudshoved.
27 May 1986 in collision with SPROGØ in Halskov.
1987 Underwent a modernisation.
21 January 1993 on fire in the engine room.
14 September 1993 during bad weather she collided with the Stora Balt bridge, repaired by the Fredericia Skibsvært.
07 November 1993 again in service.
14 June 1998 made her last sailings in the Knudshoved to Halskov service. The new bridge over the Grote Belt was opened and made the ferry service redundant.
29 June 1998 laid up at Nakskov and placed on the sale list.
20 December 1999 sold to PT. Nusakom Perseda Nuansa, Jakarta, Indonesia for delivery on 1 February 2000.
February 2000 renamed in AGOAMAS.
03 March 2000 sailed from Nakskov bound for Indonesia.
04 March 2000 till 09 March 2000 with engine trouble in the Kiel Canal, Germany.
2000 Chartered by P.T. Palni, Indonesia, for service in Indonesian waters. She got now side ports.
2006 Laid up Pare-pare Beach, Indonesia.
May 2006 sold to Snow-drop Co. Ltd., Ulan Bator in Mongolia.
July 2006 handed over to Seascape Marine Ltd for her last voyage to the breakers, the same month sailed from Indonesia for Alang in India under the name GOAM.
