Built under yard no 33 by the yard of Charles & William Earle, Hull for Sydfinska Ångbatsbolaget, Helsinki.
20 March 1858 launched under the name ALEXANDER.
Tonnage 407 gross (old), 276.79 gross (new). dim. 179 x 23.3 x 12ft.
Steam engine of 80 nhp.
She was an iron screw steamer and equipped with auxiliary sails.
1 June 1858 was she classed 9A1

12 June 1858 she made her maiden voyage in the service from Lübeck to Helsinki.
05 July she sailed for her return voyage from Helsinki.
1859 She made also calls at Tallinn, and from that time she carried mail on board.
1862 The company renamed in Sydfinska Kustångfartygsbolaget, Turku.
1884 In the service from Lubeck to Helsinki to Tallin then south again.
17 May 1885 during a rain shower grounded on Fårön Island, near Gotland on the north side of the island, one crew died.
She was refloated and towed to Hinattiin Tukholmaan Finnbodan yard where she was sold during a public auction on 21 July 1885 to Nicolai Jacobsenille for 20.000Kr..
Fate unkown.
