One of the well-known Continental water buses is featured on the 70 Ft. stamp. This is of aluminium construction and is of the '301' type. She is the twin-screw Tihany, built by Dunai Hajogyar, of Vac, with a riveted hull and a composite superstructure. Maximum length is 26.55 metres, beam 5.32 m., depth of hold 2.04m, and maximum draft 1.06 m. This square-tuck-built ship is single-decked, the hull
having eight bulkheads of which two are built to the full height, the others reaching to the floor of the passenger compartment. The bow is occupied by the chain-locker. Abaft this are two w.c.s one storeroom, the captain's cabin and a single room for the crew. There is accommodation for a total of 150 passengers. The Tihany is powered by two D-61 3-type, modified 85 h.p. Csepel-Diesel motors, The screws are driven by means of reversible gears, actuated pneumatically from the steering house. It is also possible to operate them mechanically from the engine-room. The speed of the water bus is 12 knots in deep water, less than 10 knots in shallow, and she has a total fuel oil capacity of 1,000 litres carried in two tanks.
