MARINULA tanker

She is given by Mr. Dan Rodlie as the MARINULA the image is given on the back and front cover of the book – Ships Trough the Ages – published in 1972.
Built as a tanker under yard No 22 by Odense Staalskibsvaerft A/S at Lindo, Denmark for the Shell International Marine Ltd. (Shell Tankers), London.
04 May 1968 launched as the MARINULA.
Tonnage 98,876 grt, 196,636 dwt. Dim.328.47 x 43.74 x 24.50m., draught 18.96m.
Powered by two Stal Laval turbines, 27,618 hp., speed 16 knots.
August 1968 delivered to owners.
April 1975 transferred to Curacaosche S.V. Maatschappij (C.S.M.) Willemstad, Curaçao Netherlands Antilles not renamed.
Tonnage given then as 99,080 grt, 71,315 nrt, 195,500 dwt.
From April 1975 till October 1976 laid up.
27 December 1982 arrived at Kaohsiung, Taiwan for scrapping by China Dismantling Vessels Trading Corporation.
