PROTEO tanker

Built as a crude oil tanker under yard No 791 by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., Ulsan, South Korea for Venfleet Products Ltd..
13 December 1992 launched as the CHAMA, but before delivery renamed in PROTEO.
Tonnage 54,827 grt, 29,295 nrt, 99,450 dwt., dim. 243.97 x 45.64 x 18.4m., length bpp. 235m., draught 12.96m.
Powered by one 6-cyl MAN-B&W oil engine, manufactured by Hyundai Heavy Ind. Co. Ltd.-Engine & Machinery at Ulsan, 20,940 hp., one shaft, speed 16 knots.
Eight cargo tanks with a capacity of 106,200 m³.
January 1993 delivered. Under Panama flag and registry.

After delivery managed by Schulte Shipmanagement, Cyprus, and operated by PVD Marina SA (Venezuela).
2006 Ownership transferred to Venfleet Ltd.

2010 In service, same owner and manager. IMO No. 9038830.
