She was built in Blackwall on the River Thames in 1611.
Launched as the THOMAS
Tonnage 342 ton (bm).
Under command of Captain John Milward and on charter for the British East India Co. , he and his crew sighted the island on 03 February 1615, and he was the first who noted the location what is now known as Christmas Island down in it logbook of the THOMAS.
He did not land en did not give the island a name.
1615 She foundered of Jacarta, Indonesia.
