SKUTA.
Is the popular term for a variety of boats. Also the general term for a small cargo boat that was important from at least the 16th century. Early boats probably sewn.
Stepped one or two masts.

SUMP.
A boat with pierced sides that permit flooding of a contained area for live fish. It may also be a vessel with a wet well that transport fish to markets.
Hundreds of years ago this boats travelled regular between Aland and Stockholm with life fish, and she took also people who want to go from the Aland Islands to Sweden.

STORBAT.
Strong heavy boat used around the Alan Islands for fishing and transporting passengers, produce and fish.
She are reported from 1850.
Clinker built with a high transom. Heavy keel.
Generally open with three thwarts,
Outboard rudder.
Variously rigged. Could be rowed.
Reported dim. e.g. 7.3 x 2.5 x 1.2m.

JAKT.
Cargo vessel of the southern part of the Gulf of Bothnia, especially of the Aland Islands.
During the 18th and 19th century she carried freight, produce and specially firewood.
Clinker built. Generally a transom stern.
Most were decked with a deckhouse aft.
Set a boomed loose footed standing gaff mainsail; could be brailed.
Staysail might be boomed. 1 or 2 jibs on a long bowsprit.
Crew 3.
Reported lengths 14 – 20.4m, widths 6.7 – 7m., and could carry 10-25 cord of firewood.
