SPINOLA tug

Built as tug/fire fighting ship under yard No 677 by Astilleros Armon at Navia, Spain for Tug Malta Ltd., Floriana, Malta.
Launched as the SPINOLA.
Tonnage 694 grt, dwt 300, dim.36,65 x 13.60 x 6.60m. (draught). Length bpp. 33.75m.
Powered by two MAK 8M25 diesel engines, 7,180 bhp. (5,280 kW), twin Voith Schneider 32 R5/265-2 propellers, maximum speed 14 knots.
Bollard pull 81 ton.
Accommodation for 14 crew.
22 June 2009 delivered. Building cost 10.7 million Euro.

She arrived on 3 July in Valletta, Malta.
14 November 2009 christened by Catherine Gonzi.
She is under Malta flag with homeport Valletta and will be used for salvage operations, harbour towage services in and out port. For fire fighting she has 17 cbm foam on board and 2 cbm. dispersant
2011 In service, same name and owners. IMO No 9495258.
