The ms issued by the Cook Islands to support the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami the $5 depict a vessel grounded on a quay, comparing the stamp with some photo’s of vessels which did go aground on 11 March 2011 she must be the GLOVIS MERCURY http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/pho ... id=1395608

Built as a cargo vessel under yard No 371 by Higaki Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Imabari, Japan for the Redwood Maritime S.A., Panama.
08 April 1989 launched as the TIMBER TRADER V.
Tonnage 5,472 grt, 2,325 net, 6,901 dwt., dim.98.18 x 18.00 x 13.00m., length bpp. 91.70m.
Powered by 1 6-cyl.4 SA diesel engine, manufactured by The Hanshin Diesel Works, Akashi, 3,600 hp., speed 12.4 knots.
Bunker capacity 629 ton.
Two holds. Cargo capacity 12,483 m³ bale,13,494 m³. grain.
Four derricks with a lifting capacity of 12 ton each.
June 1989 completed.

2006 Sold to Ocean Maritime Co. Ltd. for USA$4.2 million and renamed MARITIME ACE.
2007 Sold to Gloves Co. Ltd., South Korea and renamed GLOVIS MERCURY.
11 March 2011 during the tsunami which hit Japan, she was lifted on the quay by the Shin Nittetsu Steel Wharf at Shindai, looking at the photo she got not much damage, but in July 2011 she was still on the quay in the same position.
According http://www.equasis.org same owners, IMO No 8907307 the web-site gives that she is ‘in casualty or repairing”, looking at the photo she sit on the quay near a scrap-yard, easily she can be scrapped there.
