Built as a tug most probably in Germany, she was bought from Germany by the Bulgarian River Navigation Company at Rousse, Bulgaria in 1942.
Renamed in CHRISTO BOTEV also seen as HRISTO BOTEV.
10 October 1944 acquired by the Bulgarian Forces and converted in a mine-sweeper in 10 days for the Soviet Danube Flotilla Brigade, with a Bulgarian crew.

She was the first Russian auxiliary minesweeper, and was renamed SBR-1.
During the war which was ongoing on the Danube River till 03 July 1945 she sailed 12,038 km. of which 11,256 km she was searching for mines. During this time she made 8 acoustic mines harmless and escorted 132 convoys on the river.
After the war she took part in the Victory Parade in Vienna.
Then used to remove the mines in the Bulgarian stretch of the Danube River, she was in the Soviet Danube Flotilla until 1948.
Since 1955 was she based at the navy base at Varna with No 222.
2008 She was still in Varna navy base, with the plan to bring her as a museum ship to the Bulgarian Navy Museum in Varna.
