Built as a container vessel under yard No 1888 by Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd., Ulsan. South Korea for Han Jin Container Lines Ltd., South Korea.
15 December 1977 keel laid down.
24 December 1978 launched under the name HANJIN SEOUL.
Tonnage 17.088 gross, 10.693 net, 18.835 dwt., dim. 200.6 x 23.8 x 14.33m. Draught 8.33m.
One 9-cyl Sulzer diesel, 18.000 hp. ( 13239 kW), manufactured by Hyundai heavy Industries Co. Ltd. Ulsan. Speed 18.9 knots. One screw.
Bunker capacity 2.581m³ tons.
Six holds, 1.150 TEU’s.
Fitted out with two bow thrusters.
15 February 1979 delivered to owners.

2007 Renamed by owners MSC SEOUL.

2008 Still sailing under this name but under Cyprus flag with homeport Limassol, managed by Varship Shipping Co. Ltd. Athens and owned by Seoul Maritime, Athens, Greece.
IMO No 7720661, call sign P3VF7

2007 Renamed by the company MSC SEOUL.
August 2009 sold and broken up by Zhongxin Ship Recycling & Steel Co., Xinhai, China.
