MSC MAGNIFICA cruise vessel

Built as a cruise vessel under yard No T32 by STX Europe at Saint-Nazaire France for S32 Leasing Co. Ltd (MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co.) Geneva, Switzerland.
March 2007 ordered.
September 2008 the first steel for the vessel was cut.
January 2009 floated out of building dock under the name MSC MAGNIFICA, she is one of the Musica class.
Tonnage 95,128 grt, 9,429 dwt., dim 293.8 x 32.3 x 7.85m (draught), length bpp. 269.14m.
Powered; Diesel electric by five Wärtsilä W16V38B diesel engines, 35,000 kW (47,554 hp), twin shaft, speed 23 knots.
Fuel capacity 3,901 m³.
Passenger accommodation maximum 3,605, crew 1,027.
17 January 2010 sea trials were completed.
24 February 2010 completed. Building cost $547 million. Registered under Panama flag, homeport Panama.

After completing sailed for Hamburg where on 06 March 2010 she was christened by Sophia Loren.
09 March 2010 sailed for her maiden voyage from Amsterdam to the Mediterranean.
Where after she was based there for the summer season.

2019 In service, same owner and managed by MSC Mediterranean Shipping Co., IMO No 9387085.used for worldwide cruises.
