From Mr. Peter Crichton I got the information that one of the French Suffren class destroyers is depict on this stamp, and we believe it is the DUQUESNE (D603).

Built as a destroyer, French sources give frigate, by the Brest Arsenal in Brest for the French Navy.
01 February 1965 keel laid down.
12 February 1966 launched as the DUQUESNE (D603), named after the 17th century French admiral Abraham Duquesne, she is the eight French warship that carried this name. One sister the SUFFREN.
Displacement 5,090 ton standard, 6,910 full load, dim. 157.6 x 15.5 x 7.25m. (draught) .
Powered by four steam turbines geared to two shafts, 72,500 hp, speed 34 knots.
Armament: 1 twin launcher surface-air Mascurca missiles, 48 missiles (DRBR51-guided). Four launchers of MM38 Exocet missiles (4 missiles). 1 launcher of Malafon anti submarine rocket torpedoes.
2 – 100mm guns, 4 – 20mm guns and 4 – 12.7 mm MG.
Crew 27 officers and 220 mariners and 98 crew.
01 April 1970 commissioned and based at Brest.

She and her sister were built as a powerful anti-aircraft frigate which mission is to protect of a naval force against air, underwater and surface threats, and also against land objects.
She were designed and built entirely French.
She and her sister were specially built for the close protection of the French aircraft carrier CLEMENCEAU and FOCH.
July 1977 was she based at Toulon.
01 June 1992 she joined the Naval Action Force, where after she took part in numerous exercises in the Atlantic.
Also let see the French flag in the Indian Ocean when she was based in Djibouti during 1974, 1977, 1981, 1988 and 2000.
Took also part in many peacekeeping missions off Lebanon from 1982 to 1984, and participated in the early 90s naval operations off the coast of the former Yugoslavia.

When the aircraft carrier CHARLES DE GAULLE was commissioned the DUQUESNE escorted her and took part in many amphibious missions.
2008 Decommissioned.
Then used as a training vessel.
2010 Anchored as a breakwater at Toulon.
